Site Registration Steps

Before beginning the site registration, make sure you have registered as an installer with edgeConnected.

If you have not registered please find the link to register above. If you are registering as a partner installer please follow Link 1. If you are registering as an independent installer please follow Link 2.

Once you have filled in your registration details you will receive an email with an activation link. Follow the link to create your user details, make sure you keep a note of them. If you do not receive a user activation email please contact us at the details listed above.

Now that you have installed the edgeConX hardware and have registered as an Installer you are ready to begin the site registration process for a residential site which will be either a home or apartment.

The edgeConX products that can be installed for a residential site are the Energy Monitor and EdgeIQ.

Step 1
Firstly ensure you have download the edgeConnected app. Proceed to open the edgeConnected app and log in.

Step 2
If you’re working on behalf of a 3^rd party (i.e. a solar installer), enter their name. Otherwise, enter your own business name. If you cannot locate the correct business name, please enter Edge Electrons.

Step 3
Scan the serial number on the device or manually enter it. Please note the serial number will begin with EE. You will find the serial number on both the device and its packaging.

Step 4
Enter the address where the device is to be installed.

Step 5
For installing an Energy Monitor select the electrical phasing of the property including if there is solar and battery. If the device requires a Wi-Fi connection, please perform the connection at this point before proceeding further.

Step 6
For installing an Energy Monitor make sure you label each of the CTs installed. It is STRONGLY recommended that 1 CT be assigned to the grid wire for a single-phase home, 2 CTs for a dual-phase home, and 3 CTs for a three-phase home.
*If you’ve required larger CTs during the install, please make note of it.

Step 7
For installing an EdgeIQ use the live reading screen as a checkpoint to confirm the installation has been done correctly.

Step 8
Then enter the customer’s email address and details.

Step 9
Please review the site configuration, ensure the device settings are correct, and double-check the customer’s details.

Your customer will then receive an email regarding their device registration and activation. Please check they receive this email, and check the junk mail if it does not appear in their inbox. They will need this email in order to activate their account, enter their details, and download the edgeConX app.
